SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT

What is pursued through the project
The project follows the industrial implementation of the process of incremental deformation in the automotive industry.
Why is this pursued?
Although incremental deformation has a particular potential due to still unsolved problems related to dimensional precision and shape of the workpieces, the process is not yet widely applied in the industry.
The project aims to achieve the following main objectives:
- making a report on the precision requirements of form and dimension for parts of the automotive industry processed by incremental plastic deformation;
the implementation of the integrated tehnological system for processing by incremental plastic deformation of the parts of the automotive industry;
- development of specific tests for determining the deformability of the materials processed by incremental deformation process;
- research and implementation of optimal processing paths by incremental deformation;
- testing and validation of the integrated technological system for processing by incremental plastic deformation of the parts from the automotive industry and the technological transfer of the results.
