OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSORTIA
The overall objective of the consortium is to improve the institutional performance of public research organizations with tradition and opportunities to relaunch in socio-economic areas of interest for Romania, by supporting and developing the existing research competences at the institutional level as well as the transfer capacities of some applicable results.
SUMMARY OF THE COMPLEX PROJECT
The Project "INTELLINGENT MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES FOR ADVANCED PRODUCTION OF PARTS IN AUTOMOBILE AND AERONAUTICS INDUSTRIES " aims at achieving a unitary vision of the trends in the car manufacturing and aviation industry by researching production chains and intelligent technologies related. The research focuses on the development of new materials for automotive and aviation landmarks, the application of digital technologies to manufacture prototype bodywork parts from new materials, the development algorithm and inspection of bodywork parts, the use of efficient processing techniques through cutting of car and aviation parts from special materials and, last but not least, the minimization of manufacturing costs by designing simulation models of manufacturing flows.
The consortium of 5 universities has defined the type of technologies to be developed, how they will work together, how to respect intellectual property and how to transfer knowledge to the general public. The consortium aims to employ a number of 10 graduates for their training as researchers.
