The International Conference SHARING AND LEARNING FOR MENTORING IN EDUCATION - ICSLME 2023 is organized by the Romanian Ministry of Education in the framework of the strategic project on developing the teaching career - Profesionalizarea carierei didactice - PROF - project (ID: POCU/904/6/25/146587) in partnership with the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Transilvania University of Brașov, Dunărea de Jos University of Galati, George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Târgu Mureș.
The mentoring activities are important in the context of professional continuous development and in supporting the development of the didactic career. In many educational systems, important progress was made to ensure the development of the mentoring process both in pedagogy practice and didactic career. In this respect, several aspects regarding the legislative, theoretical, and methodological framework need to be addressed from a “good practice perspective”.
The aim of the conference is to provide a framework for debates regarding the mentorship of a didactic career (initial and continuous), to stimulate the exchange of good practices and strategies in different countries, to discuss the challenges in different national contexts, to create the directions for a commune approach of the legislative, theoretical, and methodological aspects of mentorship. Also, we are highly interested in presenting the Project “Profesionalizarea carierei didactice - PROF” results to integrate examples of good practices in the national and international contexts.
The conferences target stakeholders and professionals involved in this field (professors involved in training, teachers, researchers, mentors, and school directors) who have been implementing the strategic Project “Profesionalizarea carierei didactice - PROF”.
