Overview

The International Conference on Management and Entrepreneurial Leadership for K-12 Education Excellence will be held April 23-25, 2026 at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, in Transylvania, nestled in the heart of Romania.

The LEADK12 International Conference 2026 is organized by the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu (ULBS), within the “LEAD the team!” project, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Pillar VI: Policies for the new generation, Component C15: Education, Reform 7: Governance of the pre-university (K-12) education system and professionalization of management, Investment 18: Training and mentoring program for school managers and inspectors (ID_13). The project is carried out by the ULBS based on the Financing Contract no. 9375/02.04.2025, with the objective of strengthening leadership and educational management skills among key actors in the pre-university education system.

The goal of the conference is to provide an international framework for an integrated dialogue on improving educational leadership and management skills, on the exchange of good entrepreneurial leadership practices and strategies in different countries, on the challenges in different national contexts.

The main objectives of the LEADK12 International Conference 2026 are the following:

- to create a forum for the exchange of good practices on educational leadership and management;
- to provide an opportunity for the exchange of information and experiences between participants, encouraging the participation of young researchers and leaders;
- to define in more detail the role and responsibilities of leaders of educational institutions, their specific training or expertise, their training and assessment;
- to examine the possibilities of supporting the development of attractive and motivating careers for current and future leaders of educational institutions;
- to support and provide new research framework in entrepreneurial leadership, empowering an interdisciplinary partnership among business and K-12 education.

The conference is addressed to professionals involved in the training of leaders of educational institutions, educational researchers, teachers, school principals, entrepreneurs, key actors from business, representatives of NGOs active in education and training. We encourage young researchers (students and post-docs) to submit abstracts and deliver presentations.

Publishing and Authors Guideline

All papers are submitted in English, following the specific Conference Paper Template available below. The paper should have between 10-15 pages.

Original papers presented within the conference will be included in a Conference Volume

Authors are encouraged to submit full papers, which present substantial novel research achievements.

Submitted papers will undergo a double blind peer review process undertaken by 3 independent reviewers. Before the review process, the articles will be tested with a specific software for plagiarism detection.

Authors are kindly requested to have their paper proof read prior to submission. Poor standard of English language may lead to paper rejection.

Full Papers should be submitted to the Conference email address: grant.leadtheteam@ulbsibiu.ro as attachment with the following file naming convention: LEADK12_FirstName_LastName (name of the first author).
