On December 9, 2024, FERBOPO ERA Chair Project and Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu hosted the launch of the book Post-Communist Progress and Stagnation at 35: The Case of Romania<\/em><\/strong>, edited by Lavinia Stan and Diane Vancea <\/em>and published by Palgrave Macmillan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moderated by Ionela Vlase<\/strong>, the panel for the book launch featured distinguished contributors, including Florin Anghel<\/strong>, Rodica Milena Zaharia<\/strong>, Alexandra Horobe\u021b<\/strong>, Dana Alexandru<\/strong>, and Claudia Ogrean<\/strong>. The speakers shared their insights regarding Romania\u2019s successes, challenges, and unexpected twists during its transition, generating engaging discussions, on Romania’s 35-year journey since the fall of communism. The event was attended by ULBS Rector Professor Sorin Radu<\/strong>, academics, and distinguished faculty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Horizon Europe-funded FERBOPO project, this event highlighted a significant academic contribution of FERBOPO\u2019s ERA Chair Holder, Professor Lavinia Stan, and showcased the project\u2019s commitment to fostering valuable research in social science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
