
Diane Paula Corina VANCEA
Professor PhD Habil. Diane Paula Corina Vancea is a distinguished academic and university leader with over three decades of experience in higher education and public administration. She currently serves as President of the Senate of Ovidius University of Constanța (since 2020) and has previously held key managerial positions such as Vice-Rector for Strategy and Institutional Development (2014–2016) and Vice-Rector for Financial Strategy and European Projects (2016–2020).
She has coordinated or participated in over 15 national and international research projects, including European programs such as Interreg Danube (DAPhNE), MARSPLAN-BS, and PNCDI II, focusing on sustainable development, port economics, and higher education reform. Her proven project management expertise is complemented by advanced certifications in process improvement, training, and project management.
Professor Vancea’s scholarly record includes two international books as editor with Palgrave Macmillan (2024) and Lexington Books (2015), several chapters in Routledge and Polirom volumes, and more than 20 ISI-indexed journal articles published in Transformations in Business & Economics, Risks, Women’s Studies International Forum, Amfiteatru Economic, and Europe-Asia Studies.
She has contributed to over 30 international conferences in Romania and abroad, often as scientific committee member or keynote speaker, consolidating her international visibility in economics and policy studies.
Her abilities span academic leadership, strategic development, international project coordination, and interdisciplinary research. Fluent in English and French, she demonstrates strong intercultural communication and digital competencies, enhancing her impact in European academic networks.
