The FERBOPO ERA Chair project at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu is pleased to announce the organisation of Gender Equality Week, taking place from 2 to 6 March 2026 at the ULBS Library.
The event series brings together researchers, students, staff, and community members to engage in discussions on gender equality, institutional transformation, and social inclusion.
Throughout the week, participants are invited to attend thematic sessions addressing key contemporary issues:
✔ Sexist humour in organizations
✔ Gender in leadership roles
✔ Women in politics (onsite & online)
✔ Gender equality in ULBS
✔ Institutionalized religion and gender, featuring three subtopics:
• Run by women, managed by men: Transnistria’s public administration and its public servants
• Negotiating identity in the context of human rights and Islam: a case of transgender community-based organizations from Malaysia
• The danger comes from grandmothers: Religion and atheist education in socialist women’s magazines
✔ Exhibition: Women Shaping Words and Worlds
