Mihaela Ivănescu is senior researcher within the WP5 research component of FERBOPO project, on “Gender, aging and body politics in the organizational culture”. 

She is associate professor of political science at the Faculty of History and Political Science, Ovidius University of Constanța. She holds a BA and a PhD in political science and an MA in European administration. 

Mihaela Ivănescu obtained her doctorate at the University of Bucharest (2008-2012), with a thesis on elections and electoral behaviors in Romania. She has published articles on voting and elections, representation, political participation and voting behavior in Romania and the European Union, radical political trends in EU and abroad. She is editor of the Annals of the Ovidius University of Constanta – Political Science Series, an academic journal indexed in several international databases (ERIH Plus, EBSCO, Index Copernicus, CEEOL, DOAJ).
