FERBOPO ERA ChairAs part of the initiatives developed within the FERBOPO ERA Chair project at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (ULBS), a Roundtable focused on the premises of Gender Equality was held on May 31, 2025. This roundtable event explored the steps needed to foster a more inclusive academic environment.
The discussion opened with remarks regarding the work developed so far within the FERBOPO Project, emphasizing institutional reforms and structural changes already underway at ULBS. Further, roundtable participants highlighted the importance of addressing gender equality across all university levels, from academia, to students and staff.
A key segment of the roundtable discussion focused on the mentoring needs of doctoral students, as early-stage researchers. Based on the discussion, a key interest was revealed with regard to mentoring of PhD students as a next stage of development for FERBOPO.
The roundtable provided a platform for open dialogue and an opportunity to identify concrete actions for advancing the premises of FERBOPO and gender equality.
