She is particularly interested in participatory approaches to heritage, &#8216;alternative&#8217; perspectives on archaeological heritage and heritage practice communities, and so-called &#8216;dark&#8217; heritage. She is currently in the process of writing a book on rural heritage crime for Bristol University Press.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuuli L\u00e4hdesm\u00e4ki<\/strong> is Associate Professor of Art History (tenure track) at the University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Finland, and has the title of Docent in Critical Heritage Studies at the University of Turku, Finland. L\u00e4hdesm\u00e4ki&#8217;s research interests and publications focus on EU heritage initiatives and policies and heritage, diversity, and identity politics. She is currently leading the HERIDI project (EU Heritage Diplomacy and the Dynamics of Inter-Heritage Dialogue), funded by the Academy of Finland. Her recent publications include a co-edited special issue &#8216;Heritage Diplomacy: Policy, Praxis and Power&#8217; in the International Journal of Cultural Policy (2023) and co-authored books &#8216;Europe from Below. Notions of Europe and the European among Participants of EU Cultural Initiatives&#8217; (Brill, 2021); and &#8216;Creating and Governing Cultural Heritage in the European Union: The European Heritage Label&#8217; (Routledge, 2020).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mathieu Viau-Courville<\/strong> is the director of the Office of Museum Cooperation and Information (OCIM), University of Burgundy\/Ministry of Higher Education and Research, France. For more than 15 years now, he has worked in national museums and universities in Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg. He also conducted extensive field research in South America, primarily Bolivia and Brazil, and Spain. At ICOM (International Council of Museums), he serves on the board of Museum International. He is also a member of the judging panel for the European Museum of the Year Award (European Museum Forum, Council of Europe). He received his PhD in 2011 from the University of East Anglia (UK), School of World Art Studies and Museology. His publications include articles and edited issues in the main journals in the museums and heritage fields, with his works having also been reproduced in readers such as the upcoming Reinventing the Museum Relevance, Inclusion, and Global Responsibilities (Ed. G. Anderson, Rowman &amp; Littlefield, Third Edition, 2023).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div
