The Greyzone of the Green Transition – Environmental Inequalities in Central and Eastern Europe
18–19 May 2026
We would like to share an important update regarding the upcoming conference. After careful consideration, the Organising Committee has decided to change the host city and conference venue to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.
New location
The conference will now take place in Sibiu, Romania, with sessions hosted at the Lucian Blaga University Library in Sibiu.
Why this change?
This decision follows a thorough evaluation focused on participant experience and event logistics. The main reasons are:
- Improved connectivity — easier international and domestic travel access
- More accommodation options — a wider range of choices for different budgets and preferences
- Enhanced logistics and on-site services — smoother organisation and better participant support
We are confident this change will significantly improve the conference’s overall quality and accessibility.
What stays the same?
All other aspects of the conference remain unchanged, including:
- Dates (18–19 May 2026)
- Thematic structure
- Confirmed speakers
- Overall programme framework
Updated practical information (venue details, accommodation recommendations, and travel guidance) will be shared shortly and published on the conference website.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch with the Organising Committee.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sibiu for what we are confident will be a productive and rewarding academic exchange.
With kind regards,
The Organising Committee
