On 27 September 2024, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu hosted the annual event “Noaptea Cercet\u0103torilor” (Researchers’ Night) as part of the European Researchers’ Night, a pan-European event meant, among other things, to bring research and researchers closer to the public and to show how research affects our daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We explored the social responsibility future AI developers will carry and why filtering news is crucial for everyone in this digital age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using online tools, we worked together to identify fake or out-of-context images, comparing them with their originals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We even role-played as “bad influencers” to see how easy it is to manipulate information. The students nailed it, demonstrating sharp critical thinking and raising questions we hadn’t anticipated! Their enthusiasm and intellect made us feel so optimistic about the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big thank you to the students and teachers for their energy, curiosity, and invaluable insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With minds like these, the future is bright. Keep questioning, keep learning, and keep challenging the world around you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
