SIDPOP - Support instrument for decision making in POP management. Case study: Mures Catchment Area

Monitoring visit performed by the Cooperation Committee for the RO02 Programme - Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and RO04 Programme - Reduction of Hazardous Substances, financed from EEA Grants

On Thursday, December 8, 2016, the members of the Cooperation Committee for the RO02 and RO04 Programmes financed through EEA Grants, respectively representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests - MMAP (as Programme Operator) and of the Programme Partner from the donor country (the Norwegian Environment Protection Agency), performed a monitoring visit to the headquarters of the Science Department within "Lucian Blaga" University in Sibiu, where they visited the eco-toxicology laboratory developed within the "Support instrument for decision making in the management of persistent organic pollutants. Case study: Mures catchment area (SIDPOP)" Project.

The representatives of the donor country appreciated the project outputs and also the progress recorded at the level of the Programme operator in terms of the management and implementation of these projects and they expressed their wish to continue this cooperation during the next programming period.
